As a nature museum and wildlife hospital, the Lindsay Wildlife Museum was doing extensive renovations and, as part of the overall work, wanted to expand their raptor exhibit. Delphi worked with the design team at Acorn Group on the project.
HOW WE SOLVED IT
Delphi and Acorn Group created numerous educational areas, including interactive exhibits, to help museumgoers identify birds and learn what animals eat. An ingenious game called Fly Like a Hawk allows children to stretch out on “hawk wings” and see themselves fly around nearby Mt. Diablo on a screen. To connect the museum with the attached wildlife hospital, we created a live-action video of the hospital facilities and wildlife rehabilitation process.
WHAT ELSE WE DID
As part of the hospital expansion, we even gave visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the work the staff does with animals brought to the hospital. Delphi’s AV teamed provided a way for staff to interact with visitors through the examination room glass with a two-way audio system and video monitors.
